Boop
Initially an entry for an apparel contest, these designs became more of a personal project and practice in how to expand upon a simple design.
The “boop” design was an entry into an apparel contest with dogs in mind. The general design came from the enjoyment of the simple shapes that came from Dachshunds and how the shape can be manipulated and stretched.
The Ask
While the design was not selected, I decided to develop the idea further, creating more ideas based on the contests requests. The design is inspired by the length Dachshunds are and the comical idea of them getting longer and longer. The company asking for entries is called “boop”, so the dog is weaved through the letters of the word. For a separated design, the dog is on its own and has a little flair around the nose to show a “boop”.
Looooooong
As stated, I wanted to play around with the idea of the length of Dachshunds and make something a bit more whimsical. This design was not submitted with the contest, but came after the fact, as it became something I felt was a nice thing to accompany the overall brand.
Iterations
Before submitting for the contest, these were iterations and different designs I created. I also included different shirt ideas as applications of a few.
